Cinemage Adds New President
Vancouver, BC (10 December 04) - Edgar Froese, CEO and past-President of Cinemage Corporation is pleased to announce that the Company has retained Kevin Lee as President of the Company. Mr. Froese will continue to serve as CEO.
"We wanted to bring in strong industry sales and marketing experience to help us roll out our product commercialization program", said Froese. "In Kevin we feel we've found a dynamic individual with the depth of experience in sales and bread of experience in public company operations that will help the company to evolve from Research and Development into business operations."
Mr. Lee was most recently Vice-President, Sales and Marketing with Icron Technologies Corp., a public company trading on the TSX Venture Exchange under the symbol "IT". In his three years with the company, Mr. Lee played a key role in restructuring the company, undertaking $2.7 million in financings, and building product sales to $3 million in the past year.
Prior to Icron Mr. Lee held senior sales positions with such technology companies as: Ledalite Architectural Products Inc. - Channel Development Manager; Absolute Software Inc. - Channel Development; Advanced Gravis Computer Technology Inc. -
Director, Worldwide Sales; Beamscope Canada Inc. - Regional Manager (Western Canada); Canon Canada - National Sales and Marketing Manager (Consumer Imaging Division).
In these roles spanning a sales career of 30 years Mr. Lee secured major international clients including; Lockheed Martin, SGI (Silicon Graphics); Siemens; Black Box Corporation; EDS Systemhouse; NEC; Hitachi; CompUSA; Wal-Mart; Best Buy; Future Shop; Staples; and Costco.
"Kevin is experienced in soliciting major world clients for his products, and has achieved impressive success in building product sales for his companies", said Froese. "We are confident that Kevin has the technology background, sales experience, and international scope to establish Cinemage as a major international competitor in its field".
The company has launched a five-year plan to put its newly developed Prints-On-Demand workstations into hundreds of framing shops, poster shops, fine art galleries, and museum gift shops across North America. The workstations will make it possible for people to walk into a shop, browse through Cinemage's growing online offerings of fine and decorative art, and instantly print the pictures on whatever stock they want -- glossy, matt, heavy textured art paper, or canvas. Then they can take the print right home or leave it for a day or two to be matted, mounted and framed by the Dealer.
Customers can also walk in with their own family pictures or vacation photos and have them turned into frameable wall-sized prints or decorative portraits.
