Cinemage Strikes Executive Advisory Committee
Vancouver, BC (26 November 04) - Edgar Froese, President and CEO of Cinemage Corporation is pleased to announce the formation of the Company's Executive Advisory Committee.
"We foresee a lot of growth in the next few years as we build commercial operations", said Froese "and the Executive Advisory Committee of experienced industry professionals will help guide that growth."
Founding members of the Committee in addition to Froese are:
Joe Dolchewski - retired in November, 2001 from UBC as Director, Information Services after 31 years of service to the University. As Director, Mr Dolchewski provided overall leadership to the department by leading the planning, budgeting and development of new services; managing a team of 40 information technology professionals with an annualized cost recovered operating budget of $6,000,000. As a visionary problem-solver he developed strategic partnerships with departments on campus as well as with entities off campus to enhance the use of information technology in the University community, particularly in the areas of learning and collaboration; eg WebCT and the myUBC Web portal. Mr. Dolchewski joined the University as an Engineering Technologist in 1970, and pioneered in the design, fabrication and support of mini-computer to mainframe channel interfaces, terminal server systems and line driver/modem technologies. As Manager, Hardware & Network Services, he transitioned the hardware maintenance group of four personnel into a full computer/LAN service enterprise consisting of twenty professionals generating over $2 million in annual revenues.
Jane Durant - is a professional Management Trainer and Certified Human Resource Professional with extensive experience in motivational training techniques. Ms. Durant was previously the Manager of Employment & Training with the Human Resources department at the University of British Columbia. George Lai - is a Vancouver based CGA and President of George Lai & Associates. Mr. Lai has provided accounting services to the Cinemage Group of companies for close to ten years. Mr. Lai was previously Finance Manger for the Industry Liaison Office at the University of British Columbia. He is also currently a Director of Cinemage Corporation.
Worth Johnson - is Director, Network Services at Simon Fraser University. Mr. Johnson is past-President and currently a Director of BCnet, the founding organization for the Internet in British Columbia. Mr. Johnson served on the Board of Rnet BC with Mr. Froese for ten years, and was for many years the Rnet and BCnet representative to CANARIE (Canadian Advanced Network for Research, Industry and Education). Mr. Johnson was a driving force behind the creation of the ORAN (Optical Regional Advanced Network), a private network that interconnects the campus networks of the universities in British Columbia over leased fibre optic cable at gigabit transmission speeds.
Corry Silbernagel -is currently the CFO of Cabo Mining Enterprises Corp. one of Canada's largest exploration drilling services companies. Prior to Cabo, Mr. Silbernagel was a management and financial consultant working as a corporate advisor in strategy, finance, operations optimization, business development, marketing and human resources. As a professional engineer, Mr. Silbernagel also managed large-scale projects in excess of $100M in the oil and gas industry. Mr. Silbernagel holds an MBA from INSEAD and Bachelor degree in Applied Science from the University of British Columbia. The company plans to capitalize on Mr. Silbernagel's experience with mergers and acquisitions.
