The completion of the first version of the Distributed Multimedia Museum Archiving System is a significant milestone for ACT. We are now rapidly moving on to further activities which we've chosen to call ACT II. There are a number of aspects of this, not the least of which is the establishment of a new company, the Cinemage Software Limited Partnership.
This issue also contains news of other ACT activities including updates
on software development, the European VISEUM project, and an exciting new
joint venture just underway in Italy.
