Virtual Museums International Project makes CANARIE Short List

ACT has received word that its Virtual Museums International Project has passed the first stage of CANARIE approval. As part of its Phase II activities CANARIE invited proposals for the Technology and Applications Development Program. Of over 300 projects that were submitted, approximately 100 have been accepted onto a short list for further consideration. ACT's proposal, requesting $320,000 in CANARIE support, was one of those selected. The next stage is the preparation of a more detailed project description. CANARIE expects to receive the project descriptions by the end of July. It will review the projects and announce its funding decisions in the early Fall.
