Welcome to the first issue of the ACT Newsletter. We have started this newsletter as a means of keeping you up-to-date with the activities of the company and with developments in the industry both locally and nationally.
There has been much activity recently with the announcement of the federal government's Information Highway Advisory Council and the launching of the Beacon Initiative by the Stentor Group. Closer to home, Rnet BC has received funding from CANARIE and the federal and provincial governments have established an agreement to develop B.C.'s communications and cultural industries. These items are described elsewhere in this newsletter.
