Jon Nightingale

Although I’ve been working off and on for ACT since 1993, as of the start of this year I have accepted a full-time position with the Company. While my official title is currently Manager of Corporate Communications, I’m involved in a number of aspects of the company’s operations including product development, website development and writing and editing various documents. Among other things I write and edit this newsletter.

Prior to joining ACT I worked for 20 years for the University of BC’s Computing Services department. I started there as a technical writer and was Manager of Administration at the time of my departure in 1993. I continued to do contract work on web development and writing for UBC for several years after my departure. I currently continue to serve as a director of UBC’s Staff Pension Plan and am active with the Canadian Information Processing Society (CIPS).

Clarke Housley

Clarke Housley recently joined ACT in a sales and marketing capacity. Clarke has extensive management experience in telecommunications, marketing/sales, government regulatory issues, and public relations. He successfully migrated BC Tel customers from obsolete radio services to new wireless technologies during the past decade. Much of his focus has centered on adopting new marketing strategies as a result of changes in technology and government regulatory policies. Prior to his employment in the telecommunications industry, Clarke was media co-ordinator for the Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing in Victoria, B.C. and a broadcast journalist. Clarke will play an active role in product marketing.
