CINEMAGE System to be Launched

The first commercial version Cinemage Distributed Multimedia Museum Archiving System will be launched in March.

Preliminary versions of the system have been in test use for some time and early users of the Curator Client have been very helpful in providing feedback for refining and improving the software.

The final piece of work to be completed is the integration of the Interacc billing software into the system. This software, developed at UBC, is used to maintain subscription accounts through which people can access the resources available on the Cinemage system. The software provides facilities for setting up accounts as well as billing for resource use.
