Provincial Learning Network

Part of the Information Highway Accord, the Provincial Learning Network (PLNet) is a new network that will link BC schools, colleges, technical institutes, universities, Open Learning Agency, libraries and museums to ensure the latest interactive learning technology is available province-wide. Libraries and other locations will become access points for the public to use the Internet. The network is intended to provide greater access to learning resources and education and training opportunities throughout the province.

In addition to formal education and training, PLNet will increase public and community access to information and information services, as well as informal learning opportunities, through the connection of libraries, museums, science and cultural organizations.
