Welcome to the third issue of the ACT Newsletter for 1995. One can hardly open a newspaper or magazine these days without seeing some reference to the Internet. The number of people with access to the Internet continues to grow at a frantic pace with current estimates putting the number of Internet users in North America alone at over 20 million. The Internet is the most fundamental new development in the computer industry since the personal computer and offers major investment opportunities. We devote the first part of this issue to a look at the industry, some of the currently successful players, and what the future might offer.
There is also news of ACT's current activities as well as some information about what is happening in B.C. in activities relating to the Information Highway.
